The 35th Annual Annie Awards aren't just about the animated movies, they also give nods to television productions as well.
Unlike the movie categories, where Disney/Pixar has thirteen nominations for Ratatouille, no one TV show is a clear winner as far as sheer number of nods. That may mean a lot more different productions adding "Annie winner" to their plaudits after February 8, 2008, which is when the awards get handed out.
Animation production company Shadowmachine has a total of 6 nominations for its shows, sharing the love equally between Moral Orel and Robot Chicken with 3 nominations each, including a Best Director nom for Seth ("Scott Evil") Green. Nickelodeon's El Tigre snagged four nominations, including a certain win in Character Design in an Animated Television Production for Jorge R. Gutierrez.
